Saying Yes to Fine Gardening

When Fine Gardening reached out and asked if I'd write an article about container gardening, my answer was a very enthusiastic, "Yes!"

If you've ever shopped with me, you already know my favorite gardening advice: don't stop at the annuals. Wander every aisle. Peek at the trees. Grab a fern. Fall in love with a shrub. Toss a tropical in your cart just because it's fun. Some of my favorite container designs have come from the most unexpected combinations.

That idea became the heart of my article, Make the Most of a Mixed Container. Seeing something that started as years of wandering nurseries (and probably buying more plants than I planned) turn into a published feature was such a pinch-me moment.

The whole experience reminded me why I love what I do. Every container tells a story. Sometimes it starts with a funky little tree. Sometimes it's a color palette you can't stop thinking about. And sometimes it's just that one plant you couldn't leave behind.
